Committee Meetings Open to the Public 3rd to 7th March
The Parliamentary committee meetings listed below will be open to the public
this week.  
Members of the public may attend these meeting, but as observers only, not
as participants, i.e. they may listen but not speak.  All meetings are at
Parliament in Harare.  If attending, please use the entrance on Kwame
Nkrumah Ave between 2nd and 3rd Streets and note that IDs must be produced.
The following details are based on the latest information from Parliament.
But, as there are sometimes last-minute changes to the meetings schedule,
persons wishing to attend should avoid disappointment by checking with the
committee clerk [see names below] that the meeting is still on and open to
the public.  Parliament's telephone numbers are Harare 700181 and 252940/1.

Members of the public, including Zimbabweans in the Diaspora, can at any

All the other committees are also scheduled to meet this week, but in closed
meetings to which the public will not be admitted.  For example: 
.        the Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs
will be considering the itinerary for its public hearings on the Electoral
Amendment Bill and the National Prosecuting Authority Bill [soft copies of
both Bills available from the addresses at the end of this bulletin].
.        the Portfolio Committee on Health and Child Care will be
deliberating on the evidence it received from Ptremiser Service Medical Aid
Society [PSMAS] at last week's meeting 
.        the Thematic Committee on Human Rights will be considering the
President of the Senate's response to its appeal to be allowed to carry out
its oversight mandate on the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission.
