Reports Being Prepared by Parliamentary Committees 

Our Parliamentary Committees Series bulletin 1/2015 gave notice of the two
committee meetings that would be open to the public this week.  This
bulletin is to explain what the other committees were doing in their closed
meetings, and what committee reports are in the pipeline for eventual
presentation to the Senate or the National Assembly, as appropriate, when
completed. 

Some committees were reviewing their work plans or deliberating on evidence
previously received.  Other committees were working on reports, as follows: 

Thematic Committee: Gender and Development

Gender-based violence [GBV].

Portfolio Committee: Mines and Energy 

The state of affairs in the Gold Sector in Zimbabwe.

Portfolio Committee: Higher Education, Science and Technology

The cadetship scheme.

Portfolio Committee: Finance and Economic Development

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (Debt Assumption) Bill

Portfolio Committee: Information Communication Technology, etc

Adoption of the Report on the Mobile Sector.

Portfolio Committee: Health and Child Care

State of Affairs of Health Delivery System in Zimbabwe.

Thematic Committee: Indigenisation and Empowerment

The operations of the Community Share Ownership Trusts and Employee Share
Ownership Schemes.

Thematic Committee: Education, Sport and Culture

The State of Sports in Zimbabwe.

Portfolio Committee: Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment

Green Fuel Chisumbanje Ethanol Project.

[Please note that these reports will not become available until they have
been tabled in the appropriate House and the committee chairperson has moved
that the House take note of the report.]
