Capacity Building Seminar

This week Parliament will resume a series of seminars that are meant to
capacitate MPs in the conduct of committee business. In this regard, the
following Portfolio Committees will attend the Capacity Building Seminar
that will be convened in the Senate Chamber on Wednesday 18th February at
9.00 am:

1. Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment

2. Transport and Infrastructure Development

3. Defence, Home Affairs and Security Services

4. Environment, Water, Climate and Tourism.

Please note that this capacity building seminar will not be open to the
public. Only Committee members will be allowed to attend.

Meetings Open to the Public on Thursday

Bill Watch Parliamentary Committees Series 4/2015 contained an incomplete
list of Thursday's open committee meetings. To avoid confusion we set out
below a complete list of open meetings scheduled for Thursday morning.

These details are based on the latest information from Parliament. But, as
there are sometimes last-minute changes to the meetings schedule, persons
wishing to attend should avoid disappointment by checking with the relevant
committee clerk [see below] that the meeting is still on and open to the
public. Parliament's telephone numbers are Harare 700181 and 252940/1.

Members of the public may attend these open meetings, but as observers only,
not as participants, i.e. they may observe and listen but not speak. The
meetings are at Parliament in Harare. If attending, please use the entrance
on Kwame Nkrumah Ave between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Please note that IDs must
be produced.
