Committee Business Suspended until Monday 4 May

At the commencement of business in Parliament yesterday, the presiding
officers in both Houses announced that committee business would be suspended
until Monday 4th May.

Both Houses later adjourned until Tuesday 5th May.  

This early start to the Easter Parliamentary break is a departure from the
Sitting Calendar, which envisages sittings continuing next week.  This is
perhaps to be explained by the fact that by sitting for three extra days at
the end of January, instead of starting sittings in February, Parliament has
already accounted for the 21 sitting days envisaged by the Sitting Calendar
for the first three months of 2015.
